Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025 Set for Groundbreaking 67-Hour Global Showcase of Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability
Johannesburg, South Africa – The 67CEOS Foundation is proud to officially announce the Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025, taking place from 15 July at 12:00 PM to 18 July at 07:00 AM at 22 On Sloane Campus. Cnr Winnie Mandela Dr. & Sloane St, Bryanston, Sandton.
This pioneering 67-hour non-stop convening of 67 CEOs and senior executives from across the continent will serve as a powerful platform for showcasing corporate impact, leadership innovation, and sustainability strategies that are shaping Africa’s future.
Running parallel to the main event is the Africa Sustainability Hackathon, a 67-hour innovation marathon designed to accelerate tech-enabled solutions to Africa’s enterprise and consumer sustainability challenges. This bold initiative will bring together developers, designers, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and sustainability experts to collaborate on digital innovations across key sectors including agriculture, energy, healthcare, education, financial inclusion, and climate adaptation.
Pan-African Leadership Aligned with Global Priorities
The Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025 and the Africa Sustainability Hackathon are intentionally aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and South Africa’s G20 priorities. These efforts reflect a bold commitment to inclusive growth, sustainable industrialisation, climate resilience, and digital innovation. A number of CEOs and top executives from across the continent have been invited to participate. Confirmed speakers include Jason Quinn, CEO of Nedbank Group; Prof Bonang Mohale, Chairman of Bidvest Group; Onyi Nwaneri, Managing Director of Sesame Workshop International, South Africa; and Bea Swanepoel, CEO of Jozi My Jozi. More distinguished executives will be announced in the coming days as Africa prepares to unite for 67 hours of transformative leadership and sustainable innovation.
At the culmination of the event on 18 July – International Mandela Day, the CEOs Gala Dinner and Impact Awards Ceremony will celebrate excellence and action. Keynote speakers will be honoured with certificates of participation and Leadership Impact Awards, while shortlisted hackathon teams will pitch their breakthrough solutions to a panel of judges. Winning teams will receive grant funding from a prize pool to scale their sustainability innovations.
To deepen the connection between business and heritage, the 67CEOS Foundation has organised an optional post-conference heritage tour for visiting CEOs and special guests from 19 to 25 July. This guided tour will include visits to South Africa’s most iconic historical and cultural landmarks such as the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, Robben Island, the Apartheid Museum, Cradle of Humankind, Mandela House in Soweto, and a scenic experience of the Cape Winelands and Table Mountain.
“This event isn’t just a conference. It is a movement – a 67-hour commitment to regional and global agenda, leadership, sustainability, innovation, and Mandela’s enduring legacy of service,” says Mahlodi Kgatle, Head of Communications at 67CEOS Foundation.
Media accreditation, speaker profiles, partner announcements, and registration details will be released in the coming days. Corporate stakeholders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, youth leaders, and civil society across the continent are invited to join this transformative celebration of purpose-driven innovative leadership and sustainability impact.
