67CEOS Foundation Announces B20 and Y20 South Africa Participation at The Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025

A Powerful Moment of Business and Youth Leadership, Purpose, and Partnership in Honour of Mandela’s Legacy

Johannesburg, South Africa — The 67CEOS Foundation is thrilled to announce the participation of B20 and Y20 South Africa, the official business and youth engagement groups of the G20 South Africa Presidency respectively, at the upcoming Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025.

Marking a significant moment for the conference, this year’s programme will feature, the Africa CEO Impact & Sustainability Meeting 2025 proudly host B20 South Africa, the official business engagement group of the G20. Mxolisi Mgojo, Co-Chair of B20 South Africa and President of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), will deliver a pivotal keynote titled: “Scaling Strategic Partnerships: African Business Resilience in a Shifting Global Landscape.” In this much-anticipated presentation, Mr. Mgojo will explore how African CEOs can position their enterprises to thrive through cross border collaboration, multilateral engagement, and a bold reimagining of Africa’s role in the global economy. His presence is a strong signal that Africa’s private sector is ready to lead with resilience, foresight, and collective strength in both continental and global markets.

The Y20 South Africa panel discussion is a dedicated youth engagement track — a high-level, solution-driven panel discussion titled: “Transforming Youth Employment Landscapes.” This is the only panel discussion within the conference, designed to complement the TED-style keynotes by CEOs and top executives, providing young leaders with a platform to address some of Africa’s most pressing economic issues.

This dialogue comes at a critical time for the continent. With over 60% of Africa’s population under the age of 25, the stakes have never been higher. Youth unemployment remains a persistent challenge, but Africa’s young people are also its greatest hope. This panel will shine a spotlight on private sector-led solutions to drive youth employment, skills development, mentorship, and digital inclusion across emerging industries.

The distinguished panelists include:

  • Moeketsi Koahela, Co-Chair of Y20 South Africa and Education & Training Officer at the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation’s Youth Activism Programme.
  • Otsile Shuma, Co-Chair for Y20 Theme 2: Inclusive Economic Growth & Employment – Pathways to Prosperity.
  • Amina Williams, Y20 South Africa Working Group Member for Theme 3: AI, Digital Innovation, Skills Development, and the Future of Work.

“This panel will not just talk about youth employment challenges—it will amplify bold, practical ideas from Africa’s young leaders themselves,” said Sam Apata, Executive Convener of the 67CEOS Foundation. “It is a defining moment for us as a Foundation, and we are honoured to host the Y20 team on our platform.”

This youth dialogue aligns perfectly with the conference’s overarching focus on sustainability, entrepreneurship, and impact-driven leadership. It sends a strong message that Africa’s future must be shaped with its young people, not for them.

“We believe Madiba would beam with pride knowing that young people are taking the stage by leading, challenging, and collaborating with Africa’s most powerful CEOs on one of the continent’s biggest stages,” Apata added.

As South Africa hosts the G20 Presidency this year, the inclusion of the Y20 delegation at this pan-African CEO summit is both timely and symbolic. It demonstrates that youth inclusion is no longer optional—it is essential to unlocking sustainable growth.

The panel discussion will take place on 16 July 2025 and promises to be one of the most inspiring and energising moments of the four-day conference.
